Passions of Paradise won the 2009 Queensland and Australian Tourism Award for Adventure Tourism.  If you are looking for the best Cairns dive day tour, then this may well be it.  Operating daily, except New Years Day, Passions of Paradise check in time is 7.30am at Cairns Reef Fleet Terminal, for an 8am departure.  Your vessel is one of the largest commercial sailing catamarans in Australia.  At 25m in length the boat was built to provide a fast, comfortable ride to the Great Barrier Reef and back again, despite the conditions.  Its shallow draft allows you to access the amazing dive locations at Michaelmas Cay and Paradise Reef, where you will enjoy drift dives, walls dives and swim throughs.  Passions of Paradise hold an exclusive permit for Paradise Reef, a hard coral reef with depths of up to 25m, excellent visibility and diverse marine life.  Dive this nature’s paradise without the crowds.  Although certified diving is in addition to the “standard” ticket price, this is usual with most Cairns day tour dive operators.  You will be required to show your Divers License and complete a Dive Medical on board, prior to diving.  Everything else on this Great Barrier Reef dive day tour is as you would expect.  Excellent equipment, friendly, knowledgeable staff, four hours on the reef and all meals included.  Sail back to Cairns in the afternoon, enjoying a cheese platter.
