Silverswift departs Cairns’ Marlin Marina at 8.30am to commence its 70-minute trip to the Great Barrier Reef.  En route, enjoy a gourmet focaccia breakfast as detailed briefings are provided by the friendly, professional staff.  You’ll arrive at your first reef destination at 9.50am and have just over an hour to explore this amazing natural paradise.  Access to the water is provided by a large submerged platform at the rear of the boat, that is raised when the vessel is travelling and all equipment and instruction is provided prior to entering the water.  At 11.15am Silverswift heads to its second reef destination and on arrival snorkelers will be briefed on the best locations to view coral and marine life.  An amazing smorgasbord lunch is available from 12.30 and includes king prawns, octopus and fish, hot curries, garden and pasta salads and tropical fruits.  Soups are added to the menu in winter, to warm you up.  Silverswift heads to its third reef location at 1.40pm allowing you another half an hour to explore this diverse environment.  Included in your Great Barrier Reef snorkelling day tour is a 30-40minute, interactive snorkelling expedition with a qualified marine biologist.
