Reef Magic Cruises and Marine World have both received Advanced Ecotourism Accreditation through Ecotourism Australia, meaning they are committed to providing snorkelling experiences on the Great Barrier Reef, sustainably and with education and interpretation.  Departing Cairns at 9am, Reef Magic Cruises provides guests with five hours of reef time, to snorkel, swim, explore and relax.  The large Reef Magic Cruises II catamaran can accommodate up to 300 guests, but they do not sell more than 200 tickets per trip, ensuring guests have lots of room.   Reef Magic Cruises are the only vessel with a permit to access Marine World, which is an “activity platform” located approximately 45km offshore at a private Outer Great Barrier Reef destination.  It provides shelter and shade, freshwater showers, changing rooms, tables and seating.

Reef Magic Cruises and Marine World combine to provide the most interactive and diverse snorkel day tour to the Great Barrier Reef.  Departing Cairns daily (closed New Years) at 9am, the Reef Magic II catamaran cruises at close to 30 knots and its wide design provides a smooth and comfortable journey.  The 30m catamaran makes its way to Marine World, which is an “activity platform” moored at a private Outer Great Barrier location, on the north eastern end of Moore Reef, approximately 45km offshore from Cairns.  Its distance from the mainland means that Marine World offers guests the best visibility all year round.  Guests choosing Reef Magic Cruises for their Great Barrier Reef snorkelling day tour will enjoy five hours on the reef and at Marine World, which is just as well with the number of things you can see and do.  Snorkelers, in particular, are in for a real treat.  Marine World is positioned near a sheltered coral lagoon, which has excellent water clarity and biological diversity.  Qualified crew provide tuition and equipment for your snorkel experience and entry to the water is by a submerged snorkel platform.  Inclusions in this amazing snorkelling day tour include a semi-submersible and glass-bottom boat tour, underwater observatory, marine biologist presentation, all meals, tea and coffee and fish feeding demonstration.  Optional extras include an introductory scuba dive and scenic helicopter flight.  A great day out.
