Tusa Dive provides quality day trips, on Cairns newest reef day boat, to guests wanting to snorkel and dive the Great Barrier Reef. Travel to the reef in comfort and style aboard the evolutionary T6, a custom-built vessel designed with passenger comfort and amenities in mind. This new boat was launched in August 2011 and features air-conditioned interiors with lounge style seating, picture windows and flat-screen TVS. Outside there are open-air sundecks and water level platforms providing easy access to the Coral Sea and Great Barrier Reef. Each Great Barrier Reef snorkel day tour aboard T6 visits two reef sites and enjoys five hours in the water. Tusa has the choice of 16 reef sites they can visit, meaning you will get the very best reef experience available that day. T6 is a great day out with friendly staff, excellent snorkelling and all the usual features and inclusions you would expect, including brand new snorkelling equipment and wetsuits / lycra suits for your comfort and enjoyment.

Tusa Dive’s T6 departs Cairns’ Marlin Marina at 8am daily, for its 90-minute trip to the Outer Great Barrier Reef. Morning tea is served as you make your way to sea aboard the catamaran. Custom designed and purpose built in 2011, T6 provides guests with superior comfort and facilities during their Great Barrier Reef snorkelling day tour. Features include lounge-style seating on two decks, air-conditioned interior, flat screen monitors, large, partially shaded sun deck with comfortable seating, two outdoor freshwater showers and two private freshwater showers. Some of the sites Tusa Dive can visit include Saxon Reef, Jorgeys Patch, Hastings Reef, Michaelmas Cay, Pretty Patches, Thetford and Miln Reef. Each snorkelling day tour includes visits to two spectacular sites, which are chosen on the day to maximise your experience, depending on conditions and visibility. Snorkelling directly from the back of T6, launching from a comfortable in-water platform and staircase, you are just metres from the reef. All snorkelers are provided with ‘diver’ quality masks, snorkels, booties and fins. Wetsuits are available, pending the season and buoyancy “noodles” are also available. Each Tusa Dive day tour includes a thorough safety and environmental briefing, before you enter the water, and a guided snorkel tour with a professional dive master. Lunch is a fresh buffet style spread of seafood, salads, cold meats and tropical fruits. Enjoy up to five hours at the reef, before heading back to Cairns in the afternoon. Introductory diving is available as an optional extra.

Tusa Dive was such an incredible day out. The water was so pristine and there was such good visibilty. They had a photographer on board who took some really great photographs of me in amoungst the coral and clown fish. I did two introductory dives and found my guide really helpful and informative and he certainly put my mind at ease. I swam through a cave and snorkeled above some of the most colourful fish. The food was yummy! and the whole day was of a very high standard. Thank you to the crew for all there help.
