Licensed to carry 75 passengers, Cairns Dive Centre limits their daily number of guests to just 50 people (after some guests have disembarked to their liveaboard vessel), ensuring you can maximise your dive day tour at the Outer Great Barrier Reef. Enjoy two different dive sites during the day and up to five hours on the reef. Cairns Dive Centre is licensed to visit seven different reefs, including Milln, Moore, Briggs, Thetford, Sudbury, Channel or Elford. They will choose the best reefs on the day to maximise your diving experience. Your day includes dedicated, professional crew, marine snorkel briefings, two dive sites, tropical lunch and morning and afternoon tea.

Your Cairns Dive Centre Outer Great Barrier Reef diving day tour kicks off at 7.00am, when you check in and board the M.V. Reef-Kist at Cairns’ Marlin Marina. Your tour includes two certified dives, which can be completed at two separate dive destinations during the day. Pending conditions, you will visit two of several sites, all of which offer amazing dive opportunities. A few quick features are as follows: Milln Reef has a depth ranging from 12 to 22m with small, numerous coral bombies; Thetford Reef boasts swim throughs, a sloping bottom and coral bombies; Briggs Reef has a 33m wall drop off, gutters, swim throughs and a flat bottom directly underneath the boat; Moore Reef has a few gutters but is known for its flat and sloping bottom and abundant coral bombies; Elford Reef has a few swim throughs and gutters and a lot of corals; Sudbury Reef has swim throughs on coral bombies and a few gutters; finally, Channel Reef, which is on the very edge of the Great Barrier with strong currents, has great corals and bomboras, but access is limited to calm days with little or no tides. A tropical buffet lunch is included and if you have had enough diving, enjoy a quick snorkel.
