Ocean Spirit Cruises is a sail tour operator that provides daily dive tours to two Great Barrier Reef destinations, Oyster and Upolu Reefs, from Cairns.  They began operations over 21 years ago and pride themselves on a commitment to environmentally sustainable tourism.  Their motto is “Leave only footprints, take only photographs”. As well as providing a unique sail experience, allowing you to enjoy the ambience of the Coral Sea and Great Barrier Reef without engine noise, Ocean Spirit Cruises also employ qualified marine biologists who will explain the wonders and World Heritage values of this natural paradise during your day tour.  State of the art equipment is included, as is a free glass of Australian wine on your homeward journey.

Begin your Great Barrier Reef diving day tour with Ocean Spirit Cruises at 8.30am, with check-in at Cairns’ Marlin Jetty.  Once you board the sailing catamaran, enjoy morning tea and refreshments as you make your way to your first diving destination, Oyster Reef.  Please note: you will need an open water dive licence to dive with Ocean Spirit Cruises and a dive medical will completed on-board, en route to the reef.  Oyster Reef is an exclusive dive destination for Ocean Spirit Cruises, so enjoy time in the water without the crowds.  The reef here is close to the water surface and is excellent diving with amazing diversity of marine life. The second destination, Upolu Reef, offers more critters for you to swim with including moray eels, giant clams, turtles and even reef sharks.  Ocean Spirit Cruises are committed to your dive safety and as such they provide the highest standard of dive and snorkel equipment, multilingual dive instructors and all dives undertaken are guided by qualified, professional dive instructors.  Onboard, enjoy spacious sun decks and air-conditioned interiors as well as a delicious buffet lunch including fresh seafood, cold and hot meats, breads, salads and tropical fruit platters.  This is a great day out, combining diving, snorkelling and sailing.
