In this exclusive offer Tusa Dive enable you to complete your learn to dive course, on-board their luxurious catamaran, T6.  This package is only available to those who have already completed the preliminary learning component of the PADI course, including the written test, and passed a dive medical to Australian Standards AS4005.1.  PADI does provide e-learning options through their website, or alternatively the classroom component and written test can be completed with another Cairns operator, Pro Dive Cairns.

To take advantage of this package, you will need to have your dive referral paperwork, issued by a qualified PADI instructor, confirming you have completed your theory and pool work.  You will also need a current, Australian Dive Medical certificate which is less than 12 months old and reflective of your current health. The Tusa 2 Day Learn to Dive Referral Course includes two day trips to the Outer Great Barrier Reef on T5 and the four (4) open water training dives needed to obtain your PADI Open Water Dive License.

Tusa Dive has been providing scuba diving day tours to the Great Barrier Reef for over 20 years.  The Tusa Dive 2 Day Learn to Dive Referral Course is perfect for scuba divers who want to complete the ‘open water dive’ component of their PADI Open Water Dive Course, without being on a live aboard boat.  Instead, take two (2) day tours to the Outer Great Barrier Reef from Cairns and Tusa Dive’s PADI accredited dive instructors will guide you through the four (4) open water dives necessary to complete and obtain your scuba diving license, two (2) dives on each day.  Your day trip vessel is a custom-designed catamaran designed to provide superior ride performance in all weather conditions.  This luxurious boat has been designed and built with diver comfort in mind, featuring a dive platform which is hydraulically lowered into the water, making access as easy and comfortable as possible.  Other features include hot and cold water showers, spacious sun deck with comfortable lounges and air-conditioned interiors.  Tusa Dive limit day guests to just 60 people, ensuring you will receive excellent customer service and room to move in and out of the water. Enjoy five hours on the reef each day and fresh, healthy meals and snacks.

Medical Notes

  • An Australian Dive Medical must be completed.  International Dive Medicals and Diver Fitness Certificates will not be accepted, unless they are compliant with Australian Standards AS4005.1. The medical assessment must be less than 12 months old and reflective of your current health.
  • We recommend you do not fly for at least 24 hours after your last dive.
