Perfect for families, couples and friends, a day tour to Fitzroy Island allows you to combine reef and island, beaches and rainforest, relaxation and adventure.  Fitzroy Island reopened for business in June 2010, following extensive redevelopment works on the resort and features.  Ranging Thunder provides daily tours, with 8.30am departures from Cairns and a comfortable 45-minute transfer aboard the Fitzroy Flyer catamaran.  These tours provide you with up to seven (7) hours to relax and explore and include complimentary snorkeling equipment, Glass Bottom Boat tour and use of the beach hire equipment and activities, such as the ocean trampoline and ski paddles.  A picnic lunch is provided for your enjoyment and features a ham, cheese and tomato roll (or chicken and salad wrap), piece of seasonal fruit, energy bar, orange juice and bottle of water.  Feast on one of the many beaches or take your lunch on the Lighthouse and Summit walk, so you can refresh at the top of the island, enjoying sweeping views over the Coral Sea, island and nearby mainland.  The Fitzroy Flyer departs the island 4.30pm, returning you to Cairns’ Reef Fleet Terminal around 5.15pm.  A great day out!
