Your Sunlover Cruises snorkelling day tour to the Great Barrier Reef commences with a 9.15am check-in and 10am departure from Cairns.  Tea and coffee are served during your trip to the Outer Great Barrier Reef, which takes approximately 1.5 hours aboard Sunlover Cruises’ high speed, air-conditioned catamarans.  You will arrive at the pontoon at around 11.30am and can familiarise yourself with the surrounds, including a quick visit to the marine life touch tank featuring sea stars and cucumbers, before a delicious buffet lunch is served at 12.30pm.  Catering is provided by Rydges Tradewinds Catering in Cairns and includes chilled prawns, cold meats and salads, beef curry, chicken and white wine casserole, breads and tropical fruits.  After lunch, choose between a free glass-bottom boat or semi-submersible tour, or take advantage of the snorkelling enclosure with rest and viewing stations for your in-water comfort and security.  All snorkelling equipment and tuition is provided and on entering the water, you will be amazed at the colour and diversity of the coral reef beneath you and how incredibly friendly the marine life is, including delightful sea turtles and the gentle giants of the sea, the hump headed Maori Wrasse.  Other inclusions in this excellent value for money snorkelling day tour include freshwater showers and change rooms and a fish feeding presentation, which is conducted daily around 3.20pm.  There are some optional extras you may like to enjoy including: a seawalker helmet dive (perfect for non-swimmers); guided snorkel safari; introductory scuba dive.
