SPIRIT OF FREEDOM – 2011 REFIT

Spirit of Freedom, one of Cairns’ luxury liveaboard boats providing dive and snorkel trips to the northern Ribbon Reefs, Cod Hole and Coral Sea, recently underwent a $300,000 refit.
Built in 1992, the 37m monohull Spirit of Freedom is always immaculately maintained and the five (5) week refit included interior and exterior work, all completed in Cairns.
Whilst in dry dock the hull received a full cut, paint and polish makeover, while inside new timber panelling and laminate was installed throughout, along with the addition of plush new carpets and soft furnishings and a 55″ LED Television to the communal saloon room.
Spirit of Freedom’s 11 guest cabins also received a facelift, with new furnishings, linen and visitor amenities added to enhance customer experience. The standard double and twin share cabins have smart new linen, while the stateroom and ocean view cabins now offer that “5 Star Hotel Room” feel, with crisp white linen on the beds, new light fittings and soft furnishings in blue tones.
The premium cabins now also feature 26″ LCD wall mounted TV’s with in-built hard drives offering over 200 movies for in-cabin entertainment.
Spirit of Freedom provides three, four and seven day liveaboard dive and snorkel tours to the Great Barrier Reefs Ribbon Reefs (including Cod Hole) and Coral Sea, departing Cairns every Monday and Thursday.
