Deep Sea Divers Den has been providing Great Barrier Reef scuba diving services in Cairns for over 30 years.  They have a day boat (ReefQuest) which provides daily transfers to their liveaboard vessel OceanQuest. This means you can start your Great Barrier Reef liveaboard dive trip on any day that suits you!  The overnight tour allows for up to seven (7) dives including a night dive and includes reef transfers, meals, accommodation and dive equipment rental.  All OceanQuest cabins have their own en-suite, TV and air-conditioning, providing the perfect place to relax at the end of the day.  Meantime, three spacious decks including a sun deck and air-conditioned lounge allow you to spread out and enjoy the boat. Deep Sea Divers Den has 17 permanent mooring sites: they will choose the best ones for your trip, pending conditions.

Reef Encounter is a boutique floating hotel and liveaboard dive vessel, providing unforgettable experiences on the Great Barrier Reef.  It is also one of only three liveaboard dive operators to provide daily departures from Cairns, making it a very flexible product to incorporate in any itinerary.  How does it do this?  Transfers between Cairns and Reef Encounter are provided by the day tour vessel, Reef Experience.  Included in the Reef Encounter Great Barrier Reef overnight dive trip is return coach transfers from your Cairns hotel to the Marlin Marina, BBQ breakfast, twin accommodation (solo occupancy is available at extra cost), all meals and snorkelling.  Please note that the ‘standard’ ticket price is $359 per person, based on twin share, it is an extra $90 to upgrade to the liveaboard certified dive tour package, which includes five (5) day dives, one (1) night dive and all dive equipment.  Other upgrades are available to make it a longer liveaboard Great Barrier Reef dive trip, or to include a dive course.

Cairns Dive Centre provides live aboard dive trips to the Outer Great Barrier Reef aboard its M.V. Kangaroo Explorer vessel.  Departure dates for the three day, two night tour are available daily, thanks to Cairns Dive Centre’s day tour vessel, M.V. Reef-Kist.  The M.V. Reef-Kist departs Cairns Marlin Marina every morning and will transfer you to the live aboard M.V Kangaroo Explorer for your Great Barrier Reef dive adventure.

All meals, linen (except towels) and dive equipment, including dive computer, is included in this live aboard dive tour package, which provides you with the opportunity to enjoy up to eight daytime dives and two night dives, on three amazing Outer Great Barrier Reef dive locations.  If you have not scuba dived for a while, Cairns Dive Centre offer their live aboard dive guests a complimentary refresher dive course.  Scheduled the day prior to departure, the course will take approximately one hour to complete and will remind you of all the essential dive skills and techniques.  A great idea, to ensure you maximise your time and enjoyment diving the Great Barrier Reef.
