Fitzroy Island is a great destination for people wanting to combine reef with rainforest and island with adventure in a complete day tour experience from Cairns. This high continental island was named by James Cook in 1770 and features coral beaches, mangroves, open woodlands and granite outcrops. Coral reefs are located a comfortable swimming distance from the gently sloping beaches and this tour includes a choice of free snorkeling equipment or a Glass Bottom Boat tour.
